Monday April 30Got up and had some arrowroot made by the cook, we had a long time to wait for the porridge and coffee this morning, there is no blowing the fire here all you have got to do is wait and keep your temper. Ruth E, has got the prickly heat a little which almost heal and lumps all over her arms and neck. Emily Ann has it a little also. The weather is getting colder and more pleasant, its very nice on deck. When the sky appears full of stars and the moon is in full it’s a grand sight though a dreary one.
